Significant Figures

Can you set Excel to format cells to show only significant figures.
i.e. set to 2 significant figures 2.000 would appear as 2 but 2.006
would appear as 2.001 and 2.100 would appear as 2.1?

Robyn, I presume that Scientific Notation is out
of the question. Barring that about the closest
I think you'll get is 0.## which unfortunately
produces "2." when 2 is entered.

Excellent! Its a start anyway. If anyone can improve on it I would be glad but its much better than a slap in the face with a wet kipper!
