Formula Help

Posted by Stan on December 05, 2001 11:09 AM

I need a formula that reflects the following:

If gross salary > $7000 then $7000/gross salary (.008)
If gross salary < $7000 then .008

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Where cell A1 = Gross Salary

=IF(A1>7000,7000/A1*0.008,0.008)

I'm assuming your use of parentheses in your example implies multiplication...

The results seem to look OK to me.

Hope this helps!

Hi again

This ALSO assumes that if Gross Salary actually EQUALS 7000, then the 0.008 will be your result.
