Dates Change by 4 years when Copying to PP

I am copying a workbook into a Powerpoint presentation. The worksheet that will appear is a chart, which is linked to the other sheets in the workbook. As soon as I copy it, all the dates change by four years, from 2001 to 1997.

Why is this happening

Catherine, you're pasting into a workbook that using
a different date system (1900 vs. 1904) from your
data source worksheet. Using the Tools Options...
menu command take a look at the lower left-most
check box on the Calculation tab.
