Floating a row/column

I want to be able to float row 1, and column A in my spreadsheets. I think floating is the right term. The rows/columns with my headers in dissapear when I scroll the screen. This is becomming annoying. Whats even more annoying is that I know I've been able to float/anchor these rows so they're visable always, but I can't for the life of me find the option again.

Help please.

Version of Excel is from the office 97 suite.

Select the rows/columns that you wish to float/anchor and choose Freeze Frames from the window menu.
