How to Hide Comment Indicators and have Comments Still Appear

Is there a way to hide those ghastly red comment indicators and still have the comments appear when the cell is selected. I don't want to use the option of Show Comment permanently.

Thanks in advance!

As far as I know you always get indicators but if you use data validation instead you can put a comment that appears when the mouse is over the cell, which in effect gives you what you want

I'm not sure that you can, but as a work around
you could use the data / validation / input message.
The draw back been that it will not show unless you are in the activecell & you can't change background colours fonts etc.

Hi David,

I have a great way to hide the stupid (but useful) red flags.
Let's say you have added all the comments you want and are now
ready to send off your file but don't want those red flags
around. Go to Tools, Options, View and then find "comments"
(send down) and select "none". This will hide those red flags and no one
will know it's there but you. When you need to find them again
go back to tools and then choose "comment indicator only" to
locate those flags for you.

Good luck!
