Is it possible to save a edited or custom button face?

I would like to edit an existing face, save it, and then use it on the shortcut menu. Since I can't assign a new button image to the shortcut menu in the Customize Toolbars dialog box (I don't think), is it possible to do it with VBA?

Crazy question - any ideas?

have you tried view/toolbars/customise.... and then right click on the button/menu to change?

then go dopwn to edit buton image.

it's on the right-click shortcut/popup menu

...and that can't be changed in customize toolbars
