Locking spreadsheet format and cells

I have to send out blank spreadsheets for individuals to fill in information. It never fails that some of the people will change the cell format (size, etc.). I have to consolidate the information by cutting and pasting from their spreadsheet to my orginal but if they change the form it will not paste. Is there a way to lock the spreadsheet (ie. cell sizes and formating) so they cannot change it before submitting back to me?

Yes: Use the Tools Protect Sheet Option or Protect Workbook Options, depending on what you need to protect. You will have to unlock cells where people enter data.

Cutting and Pasting seems like a HUGE waste of time and Energy. Have you looked at other options such as Data>Consolidation or perhaps the Template Wizard?
