Protecting a worksheet with option buttons

I would like to protect a worksheet, but still allow the user to change the option buttons. I have unlocked the buttons and the group boxes in the properties window, but when I protect the spreadsheet, I get the "cells protected" message when trying to change the option buttons. I have even unlocked the cells underneath the option buttons, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?
