I want to protect column's A and C from being modified in an excel worksheet. (see the data being protected below) I have column's B and D reserved for manual entry of the information request below. This is just a really simple form, but I don't want this information modified. Any suggestions??

WORK ORDER NUMBER MANUFACTURER
INVOICE NUMBER MODEL NUMBER
CUSTOMER NAME SERIAL NUMBER
CUSTOMER PHONE NUMBER REPAIR DATE
CUSTOMER ZIP CODE AUTHORIZATION NUMBERPRODUCT DATE OF PURCHASE

The easiest way to protect Columns A and C and allow the other cells to have access is to go into
you cell format of the cells and or columns that you want to allow access to. Chose the protection tab. and unclick the locked check box <which is always locked due to default> then you can go into tools-protection-protect sheet and only the cells which have the default locked turned off will be available for input.
