shading problem

I have a workbook with several worksheets whose cells are linked to one weekly schedule. When I enter text, everything transfers fine, but when I shade cells, the shading does not transfer to the main (weekly) sheet. Is there a way to make this happen. Can anyone help me please?

EX. d7:F18 from one dept. is linked to d8:f19 on the main schedule. The text transfers fine but shading does not.

Lenny, you cannot link the shading via formulas
alone.
To do this you have to do 1 of 2 things
1) Do this via VBA code
2) Do this via Conditional formating

Could you possibly tell me how the code should be written or how to do it via conditional formatting
