Could I do this with a macro?

Lets say I have a list of names of countries in column A and when I have the word Japan I should get in column B next to Japan a word and in C a formula.
The idea is to check automatically each cell as in a IF LOOP and if it is right I should then get a text on the columns next to it. Could you help me?? Thank you.

I think you probably want to use hlookup to return a value in B from a pre-set table based on the value in A. What sort of formulae in C? Not quite sure what you're after.

I´ll try to use hlookup but honestly I´m new at Excel.
The thing is a have a list of numbers with some titles according to where this numbers where taken.
I want this macro to put the word "Average" next to each title and in the following cell the formula to make it.
