Hi All
I have cells with numbers. for example:

2
3
4
5

<tbody>
</tbody>

I would like to learn a formula that would add these all but show as below

14

<tbody>
</tbody>

when I go a click on this cell I want to see the value separately as below:
=2+3+4+5

<tbody>
</tbody>

Any Ideas please.
Thanks

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Let's say that your values are in cells A1-A4.
You could enter the formula:
Code:
= A1+A2+A3+A4
But that is the way the formula will appear in that cell.
If you actually want it to look like:
Code:
= 2+3+4+5
then you would either need to type it manually like this yourself, or use VBA like this to build that:
Code:
Sub MyAddFunction()
    Range("A5").Formula = "=" & Range("A1") & "+" & Range("A2") & "+" & Range("A3") & "+" & Range("A4")
End Sub
However, note if your do it that way, if you change one of the values in A1-A4, it will NOT update the formula automatically (unless you use Event Procedure VBA code). You will need to run the code again.
