I have 3 columns of data

Month Sales YTD
Jan08 $135500 135500
Feb08 $144999 280499
Mar08 $186700 467199
Apr08 $176000 643199
May08 ...

Dec 09 ??

I using Trend function to show a trend for YTD dollars and I know how to do that. My issue is for all of 2009 is my boss is asking me to show an average sales anticipation for the sales column in 2009. When I use Trend, it always shows growth. Is there a way to calculate the average sales trend instead of a linear sales trend?

I appreciate any suggestions or help.

Brad

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Hi,, I don't follow. What do you mean by "average trend"? You data shows sales going up, on average, by 13,500 per month. So how do you not want to show growth?
