I'm currently merging similar Excel workbooks in one file.
And they use the same cell names.
And i will need to reuse those values in another worksheet later.
SO I need to rename a lot of cells and it would be really long doing it with the name manager, is there a faster way to do it?
Also, i just need to add 3 letters in front of the cell names.
And I have Excel 2007.

Maybe a macro would do the job?

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
You could try something like this (change "USA_" to your 3 letters).

Code:
Dim n As Name
    For Each n In ThisWorkbook.Names
        n.Name = "USA_" & n.Name
    Next n

:LOL:HAHAHA!:ROFLMAO:
I just spent the last 30 minutes renaming! My brain, hands and fingers are dead!

I'll try this for the next sheet! Thanks!

Oh! can the macro search for names in a single sheet instead of the whole workbook?
Code:
Dim n As Name
    For Each n In [B][I][U]ThisWorksheet.Names[/U][/I][/B]
        n.Name = "USA_" & n.Name
    Next n

Is this possible?:confused:
