Scratching my head on this;
I copied a date from the web 'Jul 3 2018' and when I try to format(excel 2007 PC) it in VBA to dd/mm/yyyy but it doesn't change.
I even tried paste special:
Code:
    Selection.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlPasteValuesAndNumberFormats, Operation:= _
        xlNone, SkipBlanks:=False, Transpose:=False
    Application.CutCopyMode = False
But it still stays as 'Jul 3 2018
?

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
The problem is that "Jul 3 2018" is not date in Excel (nor VB). You must first convert it to a real date and then format the cell...

Selection = CDate(Selection)
selection.NumberFormat = "dd/mm/yyyy"
