Hi,

The old defined name function of GET.CELL(63,GC!A1) can be used to identify the background color of a cell. Trying to use the same method to identify the font color. Searched high and low but can't find the right index number, i.e. what to change the 63 to. Can anyone help ?. Thanks

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
It's 24 - and returns the colour of the first character in the cell (0 for automatic).
