I create several stock charts using excel 2007, I include in the chart the "moving average", after I include it in the chart the information is "compressed" meaning that the information in the X axis (20 columns) is compressed and in a few columns (3 columns) so you can not read the chart.

But if I open that chart in another computer that has excel 2010 it looks fine.

Does anyone know what is goping on?

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Hi,

is the axis range the same on both 2007 and 2010 versions? based on what you described it sounds like the chart is truncated to fit the axis range.

This is the information for the chart, the type of the chart is a stock chart. I was not able to insert it in the post using the add in. Just the information for the chart was paste it but not the chart.

As i explained I open the file in one computer using excel 2007 and it does not look good, I mean you can not read the chart. The I close the file and open it in a different computer with excel 2010 and everything look fine.

I do not know what is happening.

Hi, I sadly do not have the answer for I do not have excel 2007. Hopefully Smiler or anyone else using 2007 will be able to help you. Just wondering. Could it be in a way related to the way the data is organized? Excel is quite strict when it comes to Stock chart's data presentation. Could it be that the order of the fields differs from 2007 to 2010? just a wild guess.
Sorry not to be able to help further.
