Problem #1. I have a custom Tasks table that does not display the Primary Key (Task ID) column when I switch to Datasheet View. In the Design View the column definition it is at the top of the list of all the columns. Is there an option on a table, column, or key to disable its display in Datasheet View? This isn't a Query or custom Report view...this is just a table in Datasheet View.

Problem #2. My Task table's Datasheet View also has alternately highlighted rows. Is there a setting to alternate the row color?

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
check to see if the col width is zero. or hidden.

alternating row colors can only be done in a form. Not a datasheet.
in the form property it is ALTERNATE BACK COLOR

Fixed both problems.

First, thanks for the hidden idea. It was like Excel, the column was just very narrow and I had to find and catch where I could drag it wider...not sure how it became hidden.

As for the alternating color. Not sure whether 2010 had this, but in 2013 you CAN change the alternating color in the Datasheet View of a table. Its done using one of the selections in the "Text Formatting" ribbon section using the dropdown that looks like a datasheet. Somehow this had been set to something other than "Default"
