Is it possible to write a function for conditional formatting that addresses numeric data in one column (H) and alpha data in another (G) and then format the adjacent cells accordingly? Essentially what I am trying to do is look at column G for the term "Overscheduled" and then column H that it is <15.

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
I tried that and it didn't work, it ended up formatting cells that didn't meet the criteria while not formatting cells that met the criteria.

The only way to check this properly is to post a file, posting an image as suggested by moderators will not work in this case.

Post a sample spreadsheet remove any sensitive data.
You cant attach files on this forum.
Upload the file to an online storage site and post a link to it, though some people may not download the file for fear of viruses.
