copy cell value x times

Hi There,

Thank you in advance for your help!

I hope you can advise of VBA code for the following:

I have a booking chart with dates going across columns. I would like to enter the the data into an activecell, and copy this across the dates based on a value as shown below:


1/1 2/1 3/1 4/1 5/1
Activecell> SMITH Data then copies across cells 3 times
times to copy> 3

I am sorry for the rough explanation and hope it makes sense.
