Hi,

Let's assume some data in A1 through A10. A1 through A5 contains one group of data and A6 through A10 another.
I have referenced A1 in B1. When I copy/paste B1 to B2, I would like the cell reference to increment by 5 (to refer A6) instead of just 1. What would be the easiest way to achieve this?

Thanks,
Niranjan

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Try:
Code:
=INDIRECT("A" & (ROW()*5-4))
