count if with multiple criteria

how can I get a CountIF formula to work if I need it to populate with 2 criteria?

For example,

=CountIF(D3,"Yes",H3, "Flower" , P3)

So if D3 is yes and H3 is Flower than I need P3 to count, if the criteria isn't met, then I need it to say 0.

That's why COUNTIFS was born:

Put this in P3:

=COUNTIFS(D1:D3,"Yes",H1:H3,"Flower")

COUNTIFS was created in Excel 2007.
