I have a column of dates and a column of actions (buy and sell). I need to be able to count how many buys or sells there were on each individual day. I have part of of the formula as Countif(B2:B1000,"Buy"). I need to know how to add onto this to be able to count the buys on say 1/1/2017.

Any help out there geniuses?

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Depends on the ver. of Excel you have.
Either COUNTIFS or SUMPRODUCT
