Data validation - "Apply these changes to all other cells with the same settings"

Hi
This message "Apply these changes to all other cells with the same settings" is in the Data Validation window. Why and What is used for? Thank you.

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
If you had applied a validation to a range of cells, then later make a validation change to some cells in that range, but not the others, this option allows you to modify all of the cells in the original range rather than only the cell(s) currently selected.
