**DATE formula**

i am trying to create a proposal from information that i gathered about a month ago. I would like to input a formula that shows todays date if information changes in cell M23 but doesnt change every time i reopen the document. i am not going to be physically changing the data in cell M23 it will be changing from information that i paste into a different sheet. is there any way to do this with a formula and not by VBA because i do not know how to do that yet?? id value any sort of input anything that i have come up with only shows the data as 1/0/1900 THANK YOU!!

That will require VBA that reacts to a change in the precedent cell that feeds M23.

Hi,

The only so-called "workaround" I can think of, without using VBA, involves using DV (Data Validation), but it requires the user to manually (not automatic) select the value of TODAY when you change data in M23. Is this something you would consider?
