Hi guys,

I had this summary that i wanted to sum-up automatically, using the account # as the reference. Here's the examples.

Sheet 2

311 = (sum of all account # starting 311)
315 = (sum of all account # starting 315)
318 = (sum of all account # starting 318)

Notice that only the first 3 digits is the basis for the computation.

Assuming column A always contains 6 digit numbers like your sample, try this formula, copied down. I have done it on the same sheet but hopefully you can adapt it if it does what you want.

Yes, I think that should work - but probably not quite as simple as the suggestions already made. :)
