Excel dates. I have a date of job and date/ time of job request. If the job was on a Monday, or weekend I need to determine if the job was requested before or after the previous Friday at 5pm.
The rules are if a date of job (Job date) was requested (job requested date) after 5pm the prior working day then it is classed a x if the job was requested before 5pm the prior weekday then y

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
You can use WORKDAY function for this, so if job request date/time is in A2 and job date is in B2 use this formula

=IF(A2< WORKDAY(B2,-1)+"17:00","y","x")
