I have a set of financials that link to a PPT for our monthly presentations. Each fiscal year we create a new excel WB. Everything is exactly the same, the only difference is the name of the file. So instead of the excel file saying FY18, it now says FY19

Is there a way to point the PPT to the new file?

Thank you

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
The workbook is not embedded in the PPT.

I tried doing the Edit links and it does not seem to work consistently. The cover slide it updated. The next two slides, the update did not take

Perhaps those that did not update are not linked as you may suspect?

They would have to be linked. The data changes each month which gets updated when we open up the PPT

When you open the document, are you asked to refresh links? Have you refreshed links after changing the source? I suppose beyond this, I cannot help. That's the only way I know of to update Excel links in PPT.
