Is there a way to find out what version of excel is being used by a user who opens a workbook. (IE: EXCEL97 EXCEL2000 EXCEL2002 EXCEL2003). I'd like to place something in the 'Workbook Open' to identify what version of excel the user is using.

The only code I found was this:

MsgBox "Welcome to Microsoft Excel version " & _
Application.Version & " running on " & _
Application.OperatingSystem & "!"

This only tells me for example: Version 10.0
I could use a history lesson on the Versions if I'm thinking about this all wrong. Can anybody help?

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Thank you Parsnip.

And Thank you to all members whom posted codes. I've learned quite a bit from this site. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou.
