Hi,

I need to copy some data from an external workbooks, and I was wondering what the Best way to do this formula would be.

Each workbook is monthly, and I need to use datapoint location in each workbook.

Code:
='\\MonthlySummary\200802 FINAL\[[COLOR=red][B]0802[/B][/COLOR]Accessories.xls]Membership'![COLOR=red]$E$17[/COLOR]

Code:
='\\MonthlySummary\200802 FINAL\[[COLOR=red][B]0803[/B][/COLOR]Accessories.xls]Membership'![COLOR=red]$E$17[/COLOR]

and so on and forth. Is there an eaiser way to do this without opening everyworkbook and copying the link?

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
I tried using the indirect formula but once I close the other workbooks, the formula stops working. Is there another way to link to an external workbook without doing this

='\\MonthlySummary\200802 FINAL\[0802Accessories.xls]Membership'!$E$17</pre>

-Displays E17 from the 0802Accessories workbook
