Hi All,

Just joined the forum.....this is my first post....

I have a table that has a drop down list say in row cell C33. When I select an item from C33, row cell A35 is filled. And when I do a second selection from C33, row cell A36 is filled and so fort......

I am finding it difficult to come up with a formula for this.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance...

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
I don't know of a formula solution to do that (there may well be one) but assuming A35, A36, A37... etc. are filled with each selection from C33, here is a change event macro that will do that.

Copy to the code to the sheet module. Then make the selections from C33 on that sheet.

Howard

Code:
Option Explicit
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Intersect(Target, Range("$C$33")) Is Nothing _
   Or Target.Cells.Count > 1 Then Exit Sub

If Range("A35") = "" Then
   Range("A35") = Target
  Else
   Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp)(2) = Target
End If

End Sub
