I've got a spreadsheet and I need to sort it so that I only see the entries that work in either NY or CA (which I've done with a filter) and have sales LESS THAN 4000 OR Assets GREATER THAN 10000 (which I can't figure out). Sales and Assets are two different columns and I can't find a way to show entries as long as they meet one criteria or the other. Please help.

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple

I don't know how to use the advanced filter option, and I didn't understand the instructions on the site.

What part of Advanced Filter didn't you understand?
