Afternoon all

I need help with a formula. I currently have this formula:

=IF(N2="","",IF(S2="Out of Scope","",IF(A2=A1,"Timesheet","New Booking")))

I need to add another couple of criteria to this formula to return a "" if there is a "Y" in cell AE2 EXCEPT if there is a "Y" in cell AF2 in which case it should return "Timesheet".

I've spent a hour try to figure this out whilst on a train earlier and gave up. Can anyone help me?

Thanks very much.

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
Test this try, I think you need this =IF(AE2="Y",IF(AF2="Y","Timesheet",""),2) where you should replace 2 by your original formula:

=IF(AE2="Y",IF(AF2="Y","Timesheet",""),IF(N2="","",IF(S2="Out of Scope","",IF(A2=A1,"Timesheet","New Booking"))))

Does it work?

Maybe...
Code:
=IF(AF2="Y","Timesheet",IF((AE2="Y")*AND(AF2<>"Y"),"",IF(N2="","",IF(S2="Out of Scope","",IF(A2=A1,"Timesheet","New Booking")))))
Good luck. Dave
