Hi,

=IF(A1={77;88;99}&" *";"OK";"")

A1 cell value= 77 Hamburger

Why does the formula return FALSE and not TRUE? :oops:

Appreciate your input.

I think I solved the issue, it was the >0 in the first critera in the search formula that caused the issue. I guess "False" is interpret as greater than 0 so it turns to "true". Not sure.

Try one of these.

=IF(OR((B1<=0)*ISNUMBER(SEARCH({77;88;99}&" ";LEFT(A1;3))));"OK";"")

if you want the number at the start with a space or

=IF(OR((B1<=0)*ISNUMBER(SEARCH({77;88;99};A1)));"OK";"")

if you dont mind where in the string the number is.

try this

Code:
=IF(AND(B1<0;SUMPRODUCT(--(ISNUMBER(SEARCH({77;88;99};A1))))>0);"OK";"")
