The main (possibly only) difference between a function and a procedure is a function can return values whereas procedures can't.

Therefore why use procedures at all? Why not just write functions and return values if you want, don't if you don't need to?

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.

Ok. I was able to run a function without arguments using Macro dialog
Code:
Function myFunc1()
    Range("A2") = "Blah"
End Function

But, I could not do it with a function with arguments.
Code:
Function myFunc2(r As Range)
    r.Value = "Blah"
End Function

Is it possible :confused:

Not with an object, no. You couldn't do that if it were a sub either.
