Hi,

I have an excel database from which I need certain data to be filtered and used for automating certain charts. Sample data is as shown below. I was wondering whether i could use a pivot to create a chart which has the cost covered and total cost as two stacked bars, the corresponding school name on the y axis, the age and name as two columns next to the bars. Is this possible using a pivot chart or does it require a macro?
Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

School nameCost coveredTotal costAgeName
X300100014Jim
Y50090015john
Z600140016Max

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Can you please explain what you mean by
the age and name as two columns next to the bars
... it sounds like you want a separate chart object embedded within the main chart.
