How do I make a positive number manually enter into a cell, negative in another cell?

Try to use:

B2 --> =-A2

Is that what you want?

Is it possible that someone might enter a negative number in column A?
If so, what should happen in column B? If you want to keep it negative, you can use a formula like this:

=IF(A2>0,-A2,A2)

Also, is there any chance that they might be adding Text into column A, and the formula needs to account for that (ignore it)?
If so, then maybe something like:

=IF(AND(ISNUMBER(A2),A2>0),-A2,A2)
