Hyperlink in Excel

I have two files one is my excel spreadsheet, and the other is my jpg photos file. In my excel spreadsheet in one of the columns, I am adding a hyperlink of pictures of each item. I am doing Ctrl K to open the hyperlink function. Still, once I choose the file, it closes it, and I have to open the file with the pictures again each time and was wondering if there is a way to keep the file of photos open as I insert the hyperlink in each appropriate cell? I hope this makes sense.
