Hi,

I wonder if someone would be able to help me. I have a spreadsheet that has columns as follows:

0 1 2 3 4
10% 15% 20% 5% 25%

I want to then populate cells with the 3 largest percentages, however, if I use the LARGE function, it gives me the percentage and I want the corresponding number at the top ie:

1st 2nd 3rd
4 2 1

Many thanks

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
So the expected result should be a little like this?

Excel 2012
ABCDE
101234
210%15%20%5%25%
3
41st2nd3rd
5421

Thank you - that worked perfectly :)
1. Does that mean it is impossible in your sheet to have two percentages the same? If, for the sample layout shown in post #3 , cell B2 is changed to 25% the results are 1, 1, and 2 not 1, 4 and 2.

2. If equal percentages are possible, what results would you want for this sample data where the equal percentages are in position 3?

Book1
ABCDE
101234
210%15%20%15%25%
