I've Sheet 1 with my data that I am filtering to update results. On Sheet 2 I'm using a COUNTIF formula to update the results based on the filtered Sheet 1 results.

=SUBTOTAL(COUNTIF(Sheet1!1,D:D)

What i want from this formula is the total number of '1' in Column D of Sheet 1, based on the filter query. What tweaks do I have to do to make this possible?

Any help greatly appreciated, thanks.

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Maybe this?

Code:
=COUNTIFS(Sheet1!D:D,1)

But, not sure what you mean by filter query and the tweaks you are needing to do.
