Hi all.

I am struggling to find a way to lock the position of multiple slicers, yet allow them to still work. I have a report to send to players and the worksheets will be protected. When I do this the slicer is not usable but other methods mean that it can be moved and deleted by the end user.

I am just using simple tables (not pivot) and excel 2013.

Any ideas? Or does a newer version allow this?

Many thanks.

Marc

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Try right-clicking on your slicer and selecting "Size and Properties" then under "Position and Layout" check the box that says "Disable resizing and moving".

Edit: When you protect your sheet you need to make sure that the "Edit Objects" and "Use AutoFilter" boxes are checked. That should allow them to press the buttons.
