Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone would possibly be able to be kind enough to help me with an issue that I am currently stuck on.

cell a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q

1 pt bear mins secs dist east north code

2 repeat for entered lines

3

4

5

sheet 1

was wondering if vlookup would be of use sheet 3, to bring over coordinates and code if bearing mins secs and distance are entered sheet 1.
If not Vlookup would lookup work?
if so would someone be kind enough to please help me out with writing a quick formula to make this possibly work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Warmest Regards,

Rob

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
is sheet 1 the ref sheet and sheet 3 contains the lookup ref
Hi mate,
Sheet 1 I want to enter the data,

for example

point number bearing minutes seconds code point number east north code

1 90 00 00 cnr 1 1 1000 1000 cnr 1

if I enter in say the above data I would like it to print only the 4 values to the right into sheet 3.
I am only a novice at this so would really be looking for your complete guidance and knowledge.
This would continue for the rows to follow under the starting row.

Thank you for your initial reply look forward to your absolute guidance,

Kind Regards,

Rob

Item in col O in row 76 is a

Thankyou again,

can we start again - it is not clear what your original data is - nor what you want - if you cannot format it try putting a border on all cells and coloring them yellow, I am sure we can help you once we understand the issue....
