I have a question about Pivot Table data....i.e. the data behind the Pivot. Is there a macro to automate the extraction of the data behind it?
Basically I have a report in the form of a very large pivot table with all the Pivot filters hidden. However, the source data has been DELETED. Is there a way to recover this data? To extract it and dump into a new tab?
One feature of the Pivot Table is that you can click on any cell and it will create a new tab (labelled Sheet1, Sheet2 etc) with the data that formed that cell but I want the whole data set that created the Pivot Table in the first place.

This may be an obvious one - any help greatly appreciated!

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Usually if the source data is gone it is gone forever. However, sometimes the data is saved hidden in the workbook.

Try double-clicking the Gross Total cell and see what happens.
