Merging Excel Charts with Word Document

Hello. I have searched and searched and can not seem to be able to find a solution to a question asked of me. Is there a way you can merge an Excel spreadsheet with Word and have the accompanying chart/graph change in each record?

If you insert the Excel chart as an object in Word you should be able to update the chart from the Word document.
