Hi All,

I am trying to use a mode if for text data. It is a variation of this array formula i am looking for {=mode(if(Table1[x] = C2, Table1[y]))} but having problems. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().

The MODE function only works on numbers as far as I am aware.

Try...

=INDEX(Table1[Y],MODE(IF(Table1[X]=C2,IF(LEN(Table1[Y])>0,MATCH(Table1[Y],Table1[Y],0)))))

...confirmed with CONTROL+SHIFT+ENTER.

Hope this helps!
