Hi All,

I have a spreadsheet that I use to organize projects and their budgets/timelines etc.

I have a large, static timeline that goes for a couple of months with each column header being a dd/mm/yyyy date.
Additionally, I have budget data for specific projects under header names such as "Day 1" to "Day 10" etc and the Start date for that project in a cell nearby.

How can I move those cells containing budget data to the correct position so that "Day 1" is positioned below the correct date on the main timeline (the same date as Start Date)

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
As specific values are confidential, here is a mockup of what I am trying to achieve.

I want to be able to press the Add to Timeline button and the data set (B6:E7) will be moved to the correct position on the timeline above. Where the first column of data (B) is moved to the position of the specified Start Date (A10) along the timeline.

In short, I would like a macro that will move the dataset values onto the timeline starting at Column E, because the date in that column of the timeline is the same as the project's Start Date.

I hope that clears up what I would like to achieve.
