Is there a way for a sumif to work when one of the criteria is a tab?

I want to build a sheet that will contain a drop down menu of week numbers which will be named exactly after each tab label and to use this cell as the reference criteria for the sumif.

Hopefully that makes sense. Can this be done and how?

Basically want cell c2 to show me the value of h12 of one of the sheets if the name of that tab is diplayed in a1.

If not possible, what would be an alternative?

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
How about
=INDIRECT("'"&A1&"'!H12")
