Need help with formula to fill entries until different value

Hi,
unsure how to do this, as theres is sometimes gaps in column A

ID	Name	Helper Column
001	John	=B2
002		"this should output "John"
003		"this should output "John"
		blank
004	Tim	"this should output "Tim"
005		"this should output "Tim"
006		"this should output "Tim"
007	John	"this should output "John"
008	Tim	"this should output "Tim"
