Hello everyone,

I would like help with displaying a number as dollars and cents in a concatenation formula.

My current formula is

="Location 1 "&Sum(G5:G13).

This prints the location and the sum of the those cells, but the number looks like 32437.31 instead of $32,437.31. Can someone tell me how to format this number within the formula?

This formula needs to be good on both Excel 2003 and Excel 2007. If it requires two different formulas that is fine.

I appreciate any help you can give me.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
May be this?
="Location 1 " & "$" & Sum(G5:G13)

Thank you Sektor and Weaver.

Thank you for the suggestion Sektor, but it would not allow for commas where they are necessary.

Thank you Weaver. That does the trick.
