I have a form control button with a macro attached to it.

When a user clicks the button, I would like the user to be required to then enter the correct password in order for the macro to run, if an incorrect password is entered, I would like them to receive a message stating as such.

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
Place this macro in the button click event module. Change "MyPassword" (in red) to a password of your choosing. Insert your code where indicated.
Code:
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
    Dim response As String, PW As String
    PW = "[COLOR="#FF0000"]MyPassword[/COLOR]"
    response = InputBox("Please enter your password.")
    If response = "" Then Exit Sub
    If response <> PW Then
        MsgBox ("Invalid password.")
        Exit Sub
    End If
    'The rest of your code goes here.
    Application.ScreenUpdating = True
